Project Geologist (Ref # 447513)


POSITION SYNOPSIS
This position will supervise a team of a drilling crew to safely undertake logging, mapping and sampling in the field during the exploration program according to BHPB standards. You should be able to work in the field with minimum supervision. You will be required to compile the reporting statistics on work progress and geology. Ensure compliance with the relevant statutory requirements and legislation. This role will also develop improvements to exploration procedures through field experience.

This is a site based position.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Tertiary qualification in Geology, have an understanding of quality assurance and quality control methods with respect to geochemical data. Previous experience in logging drill core and in Nickel laterite exploration would be an advantage. Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Program ( Excel, PowerPoint, Word and MS Access). Experience with ArcGIS mapping software will be a distinct advantage.
